Perfect Integration into your Holden Astra or Captiva 5
![]() E>GO – Exchange & GO The award winning E>GO concept allows ZENEC to offer a unique solution for those seeking a multimedia and navigation device that integrates into the design aesthetics of the car. The E>GO range is visually and technically a perfect fit into a Holden Astra and Captiva 5, maintaining the original look and functionality of your vehicle. Seamless electronic integration means the ZE-NC5011D can be linked to the existing steering wheel controls, the onboard computer and the driver information display via the vehicle-specific CAN bus interface. It’s not the straightforward installation, immense range of functions or the easy use of the device that makes the ZENEC E>GO so unique and successful. It’s that all these features are combined in one unit which fits seemlessly into your car. Wireless Communication via Bluetooth The ZE-NC5011D is equipped with a high-tech Bluetooth module from Parrot, the specialist for mobile communications, which gives you the convenience of operating a Bluetooth-capable mobile phone. This guarantees you a wide range of functions and maximum compatibility with many mobile phone models. Your Perfect Navigator ZENEC’s ZE-NC5011D comes preloaded with the latest maps of Australia and New Zealand (with Premium POI’s), which appear highly realistic thanks to the 3D high-definition rendering of terrain and 3D objects. With 8GB of flash memory, there is more than enough memory available for expansion of map content and updates of map packages with 3D buildings and landscape features. Limitless Connectivity Due to the integrated USB port and the various A/V in and outputs, there is almost nothing that cannot be connected to the ZENEC naviceiver. The ZENEC program has a wide selection of multimedia-based additional components that are optimally suited to the ZENEC naviceiver. All equipment including external monitors, your iPod/iPhone, DVB-T and DAB+ receivers or rear view cameras, can be connected directly to the naviceiver and operated via the touchscreen. Pandora Internet Radio Launches in Australia
Pandora, one of the world’s most popular internet radio platforms has launched in Australia. It joins a slew of already established music streaming platforms like Spotify, Rdio, and Telstra’s incoming MOG platform, but has some features that we think make it superior.![]() With over 800,000 songs from 80,000 artists, Pandora allows you to create your own “stations” based on your favourite artists or genres. Unlike other music streaming platforms, we find Pandora actually delivers music you like. This is partly because you provide feedback on the song choices by “liking” (or disliking) it, which Pandora takes into account for future selections. The other reason you get quality song choices is because Pandora uses the Genome Music Project technology, which asses a song on over 400 musical attributes such as rhythm syncopation, key tonality, vocal harmonies, and displayed instrumental proficiency. Like other music streaming platforms, Pandora is offered free with occasional advertisements, or you can subscribe to Pandora One, which is ad free for around $36 per year. In our opinion, a small price to pay for an unlimited music collection at your fingertips. As of March 2013, Kenwood offers a few head units where you can control Pandora on screen. Alpine in the US offer a few head units that do, so it’s likely only a matter of time before we see them here too. So, unless you have a Kenwood head unit, the only way to enjoy Pandora on the road, through your car stereo, is to plug your mobile device into your vehicle’s head unit. Give Pandora a go now at www.pandora.com. |
Alpine’s use of MirrorLink™ Technology
| MirrorLink™ technology offers seamless connectivity between a smartphone and a vehicle’s entertainment system. MirrorLink™ allows you to access your phone using the same controls you would use to access the car radio, climate control, and navigation systems. You can easily operate video, music and compatible apps, and view them onscreen. Everything available in an app, or on your phone is now available onscreen.Alpine was the first to develop a mobile media station that incorporates MirrorLink™ technology.
